Husky Wrestling

Wrestling will be starting soon at Alice Ott, It is not too late for your student to be involved. We start the season January 16th and the cost is $50. This is a chance for your student to be involved with a sport that combines muscular strength, muscular endurance and technique and to develop these at whatever level they may be at presently. There is no experience necessary, as the coaches want to work with all interested young people. Your student will learn the basic techniques as well as self-discipline from a very motivated and experienced coaching staff. Coach Schmitt has be coaching wrestling for 30 years at both the High school and Middle School level.  Coach Benner has been coaching for 19 years. Wrestlers need to have a physical and registration form filled out before they can begin practice. You can obtain these forms from the office or from the coaches. We are hoping for another great season as we are competing for our 8 th straight District Championship this year. As an added bonus, at the end of the season Coach Schmitt puts together a team highlights video that each wrestler that finishes the season receives. If you need to contact either of the coaches you may call the school at 503 256-6510 or email Coach Schmitt at: Joseph_schmitt@ddsd40.org
