Bus Pass Program

District  /  School Information

ZPass is coming to Alice Ott on Tuesday, February 22nd!

The David Douglas School District is rolling out a new bus pass program for district bus riders. Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, all eligible riders will be required to register to ride the bus and must carry a badge. The program is currently being rolled out a few schools at a time, and starts on February 22nd at AOMS.

How does it work?

District bus drivers will issue ZPass badges along with lanyards and backpack straps to students currently riding a district school bus. Students must carry their badge, a ZPass, with them to ride the school bus. The ZPass will be scanned as students enter and exit the bus, recording the card number, location and time.

Why the change?

This program is designed to enhance bus rider safety by giving the Transportation Department and parents the ability to track when and where each student gets on and off a district school bus. Parents can view ridership information by using the ZPass+ Ridership Alerts App. If you are interested in using , you must first register for a ZPass+ account on the district website (linked below) or https://www.zpassplus.com. You will need to enter the number on the back of your student’s bus pass. Once you are registered, you will be able to download and begin using the App.

What if my student loses their pass?

In the event of a lost badge, the student or parent will need to immediately call the Transportation office at (503)256-6526 to request a replacement badge. The first replacement badge will be free; additional replacement badges may result in a $3.00 replacement fee. Students who lose their bus pass will be required to get a temporary pass each day from the school office until they receive a replacement ZPass badge. Please help us by making sure that your student has their ZPass badge when they head to the bus stop each morning.
