WHAT IS MY CHILD’S SCHEDULE?
All students will receive their class schedule on their first day of school. All students begin their first day in advisory class – see below for your child’s advisory teacher and room number.
STUDENT DAILY SCHEDULE: Students will have a daily schedule from 8:20 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Doors open for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria. Students not eating breakfast are expected to report directly to their lockers and then to their homeroom classrooms. Hallway wandering is not permitted.
Lockers will be assigned the first week of school.
TECHNOLOGY FOR STUDENTS:
We will be able to provide each student with a Chromebook for use while at school. Classrooms are equipped with chromebook carts for students to use during class. Chromebooks will remain at AOMS. A limited number of individual chromebooks will be available for temporary checkout later in the school year.
WHEN DO STUDENTS RETURN? The calendar for student return is::
Monday, Sep. 4 – No School – Labor Day
Tuesday, Sep. 5 – No School – Teacher Work Day
Wednesday, Sep. 6 – Only 8th Grade Students
Thursday, Sep. 7 – Only 7th Grade Students
Friday, Sep. 8 – Only 6th Grade Students
Monday, Sep. 11 – All Grade Levels Attend
PLEASE PRACTICE ROUTINES!
Students should now be practicing the bedtime, wake up, and no-phone/technology routines that they will have when school begins so that their bodies and minds are accustomed to this when it is time to begin learning! THANK YOU for your assistance with this.

Every student is required to have a PE uniform. These are available for purchase in the main office. The cost is $15 for 1 set (shirt and shorts). If you need a single item, the cost is $8.00 for a single shirt or 1 pair of shorts.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT will take place the evening of Thursday, September 14th, from 6:00-7:15 PM. This will be an open house format where families will have the opportunity to visit all classrooms and teachers.
LATE START EVERY WEDNESDAY STARTING SEPTEMBER 13
Beginning the second week of school, every Wednesday, the school day begins an hour and 20 minutes later than the rest of the week, at 9:40am instead of 8:20am. On Wednesdays, all buses pick up students later than their regular time.
-PLEASE NOTE THAT SEP. 6 (8th Grade Only Day) IS NOT LATE START.
For the most updated transportation information, please visit https://versatrans.ddouglas.k12.or.us/elinkrp/login.aspx. The username is your student’s ID number and password is their birthdate. After you login, it will take you to a screen that has different tabs. Hover over “Students” and choose “View My Students”. You will be able to view your student’s name(s), school(s), and grade(s). Select the student you wish to view and you will see their route information, including the days that they are scheduled, their bus number, and the scheduled pickup time. Please note that times can vary based on traffic, and other unforeseen circumstances.
